Our Story
Ted and Laura are storytellers, creators, and stewards of nature’s wisdom, inspired by the beauty and harmony of the forest. Through their work, they bring nature to life, weaving tales that range from the profound medicinal uses of plants to the whimsical charm of pinecones.
With a master’s degree in herbalism, Ted shares his deep understanding of the healing power of plants, connecting with audiences of all ages and inspiring curiosity about the natural world. Laura complements this with her artistic vision, weaving magic into their stories and creations to make the wonders of the forest both accessible and enchanting.
Their business, Nom Sus Wintu Products, honors the Original People of the Junction City area in Northern California. Ted’s ancestors have lived in Trinity County for thousands of years, cultivating a deep connection to the land and its traditions.
Ted and Laura’s handcrafted creations reflect their respect for the earth and its abundant gifts. They gather materials like usnea, pinecones, and vibrant flowers, transforming them into unique resin bowls, pens, pizza cutters, and more. Each piece celebrates their bond with nature, inviting others to explore, learn, and cherish the interconnectedness of humanity and the natural world.
